Our prices are book direct prices. We do list Castleview Cottage on several online booking platforms - you pay on average around 20% extra in charges and fees on OTA sites such as Airbnb, Tripadvisor, VRBO. If you have made a booking through a third party we are always happy to cancel your existing reservation without penalty and take your booking direct. As a direct booking you also benefit from exclusive rewards such as earlier check-in.
We request that guests take out suitable travel insurance which covers for COVID19 related circumstances such as illness, self-isolation or quarantine requirements.
SHORT BREAKS WELCOME! Our rental cost is inclusive of taxes, all utilities, superfast wi-fi, liability insurance, heating, quality bed linen, towels and cleaning. We accept payment by direct bank transfer, Credit or Debit Card. We require 50% of the rental on booking and the balance is due 4 week's before your arrival.
The property sleeps 2 adults + 2 in a bunk room and the prices are fully inclusive with no extra charges. The bunk bed is full adult size but the room is compact with limited storage - please contact us about suitability for your party.
PRACTICAL STUFF Check-in is normally from 3.00pm (5.00pm if you have booked via an OTA platform) and we ask you to check out on departure day before 10.00am. We will always do our best to accommodate earlier arrivals/later departures subject to bookings and Housekeeper availability. We welcome dogs and suggest a suggested £10.00 donation to the Retired Greyhound Trust/Makants Greyhound Rescue. Please contact us with your enquiries for further information.
ACCESS AND SUITABILITY The cottage is 200 years old and the stairs are somewhat steeper than in a modern house. The shower room is on the first floor. There is a small step into the shower and we can provide grip handles if necessary. If you have any concerns about access and suitability, particularly for guests with disabilities, please talk to us before booking.
The interior of the house is a totally non-smoking zone – no exceptions!
